Welcome back!

Day 5 is here. India have a 285-run lead over West Indies, courtesy a first innings lead of 128 runs and Rohit-Rahane unbeaten stand last night worth 85 runs.

While an overnight declaration seems unlikely, it will be interesting to see if Kohli declares with about an hour into the morning session, giving West Indies a chance to score around 350 in about 70 overs or so.

Stay tuned as we get you the live updates from the 5th and final day of the third Test right here.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was India's hero yesterday. He registered his third five-for in Test cricket and triggered a dramatic batting collapse in West Indies' first innings to wrap them up for barely 225, while at one stage the hosts were cruising at 202 for 3.

Miguel Cummins then rocked India's second innings early with the wickets of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli in quick succession. Dhawan departed soon after but Rohit and Rahane then picked up pace and added 85 runs to the unbeaten 4th wicket stand that took India's lead to 285.

Leg before appeal and given! Rohit Sharma's wife in the stands is stunned! West Indies have picked up a key wicket with just the second ball of the day. Replays suggest there's a faint inside edge though. Unlucky! He's disappointed, but has accepted the decision and walks back unhappy.

Saha, and not Ashwin, at No. 6.

Cummins got his fourth but it's a huge no-ball! Well not technically, because the umpire didn't bother checking after he raised his finger. Saha shaped up to cut that one but instead gives away a faint faint edge to the keeper. Not sure what's happening here! The umpire didn't notice that Cummins had overstepped, by a huge margin - I must add. Kohli, who can see the replays, is clearly not happy with that decision. Strangely, Saha hasn't been called back either. Two rough decisions by Nigel Llong today!

Jadeja is the new man in.

Kohli is on the verge of declaration, or so it seems. And the message is clear to the batsmen in the middle. Jadeja hammers Cummins over long-on for a huge six off just his sixth ball in the middle.

So Jadeja departs in his attempt to pick up some quick runs and Cummins gets his maiden five-for! Will Kohli declare? Nope! Ashwin is out in the middle already.

Ah wait, Ashwin is out too! Cummins at it again and finally the declaration is here. India's lead is 345 runs. So the hosts need 346 to win with a little over two and a half sessions to go.

Right then.346 is the target for the West Indies to level the series 1-1. Minimum overs remaining in the day are 89. Brathwaite and Johnson out in the middle. Bhuvi gearing up.

Just what Kohli would have wanted from his bowlers. Shami strikes early and Johnson is on his way back to pavilion after bagging a 5-ball duck! Rohit Sharma takes a smart catch at forward short leg and the Indian team is ecstatic.

West Indies 4 for 1, need another 342 to win.

Leg before. Plumb. Bhuvneshwar picks up a wicket too and Brathwaite walks back for 4. Indian bowlers have dismissed both the WI openers cheaply. Just the ideal start.

Bowled him! Samuels is gone for 12 off 27 deliveries. What a pretty sight for a fast bowler. The offstump has gone for a walk!

West Indies are crumbling here. At this rate, only a repeat of Jamaica Test can save them.

That's lunch on Day 5. India firmly in control of the game, thanks to the pace trio of Shami, Bhuvneshwar and Ishant who all grabbed a wicket each to reduce the hosts to 35 for 3 in their second innings.

Earlier in the morning session, India declared their innings on 217 for 7 - an addition of 60 runs to their overnight score. Miguel Cummins picked up all four wickets that fell to claim his maiden five-for in Tests. He finished with figures of 6 for 48.

West Indies head into lunch on 53 for 3, still 23 behind the target and just 7 wickets in hand. Chase and Bravo in the middle.

Join us back in 35 minutes for what promises to be an engrossing and most crucial session of the day.

Right then, we're back for the second session of the day. West Indies to resume from 53 for 3.

Off-stump's uprooted again! Ishant's breached Roston Chase's defence. Chase, who played a key role in the draw West Indies pulled off in the second Test, departs for 10.

Jadeja picks a wicket now, has Blackwood stumped for 1 off 11 balls. It was indeed a very close call. Saha was very confident about the batsma's foot being marginally out of the crease, and he took off the bails in a flash and went up in appeal immediately. Referred to the third umpire who checked every angle multiple times before giving him the marching orders.

Darren Bravo brings up his 15th Test fifty. He's the only one who has shown some resistance. And at the rate which the WI wickets are falling, it looks like he might run out of partners very soon.

Edged and taken! Dorwich nicks one straight to Kohli at second slip and India inch another step closer to an unassailable 2-0 lead. Sixth down, four more to go. West Indies are down to 84 for 6. One would have expected a better fightback from the team which pulled off a stunning draw in Jamaica.

What were you thinking, Mr. Captain? Bravo sent him back almost immediately as he realized but Holder kept running in. Halfway down he realises his mistake but unfortunately, it is too late for him to make his way back. Ashwin at short mid-off sends in a direct throw and he's caught off by a mile.

Debutant Joseph for the second time in his debut Test.

Shami ends Bravo's resistance. Inside edge, Rohit runs in from short midwicket and completes the catch to send him back and end West Indies' hopes. Bravo's gone for 59 off 100.

Ashwin next takes out debutant Joseph for another duck. He's bagged a pair. More importantly, India are one step away from an unassailable lead of 2-0 in this four-match Test series.

India are a step away from a thumping win in St Lucia to seal the series and the newly appointed coach Anil Kumble is all set with his camera to capture the moment. Even though we have a game more to go in this series, a win here will give India an unassailable 2-0 lead.

He might have made some atrocious changes to the team, half of which didn't work, and despite losing a day's play due to rain, he's managed to get the result. Virat Kohli on the verge of becoming the fourth Indian skipper to win a series in West Indies.

There it is! India win comprehensively by 237 runs and seal the series 2-0 with fourth and final game yet to be played. Of the four instances in total, this is the first time the Indian team has claimed the series by winning more than just a single game of the series. Kohli joins the elite list and Kumble gets off the mark with a series win too!

Ashwin, Saha and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are India's heroes in this game. When all else failed, Ashwin, India's new No. 6 favourite, stepped up and notched up his fourth Test hundred - all of which have been against the West Indies - to rebuild. Giving him company was Saha, who scored his maiden century in Test cricket to propel India to a respectable total in their first innings. Rain marred the third day of the game when no play was possible. But on the fourth day, West Indies suffered a dramatic collapse in post-lunch sesion triggered by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. That spell could easily be termed as the turning point of the game which looked to be heading towards a dull draw due to the loss of Day 3. Rahane starred with the bat in the second innings, along with Rohit Sharma who chipped in with a quickfire 41 to help India to a 345-run overall lead. Then on, it has been some disciplined bowling that saw India wrapping up the second innings of the home team for just 108, in a chase of 346, in under two sessions to take the series 2-0.

Ashwin bags the Man of the Match award. We'll see you again on Day 1 of the fourth and final Test. Till then, sayonara!
