NCC cadets of the 3/31 Battalion of Government Inter College, Virbhadra, Rishikesh, held a cleanliness drive yesterday. They collected garbage from various localities of Rishikesh town.
Before the start of the drive, the NCC cadets took the ‘swachhta pledge’, and resolved to work towards ensuring cleanliness in their surroundings. Virbhadra Government Inter College Principal JP Kushwa spoke on the importance of cleanliness and its importance to society and the nation.
NCC Officer Lt Sushil Rawat said cleanliness it was next to godliness and called upon cadets to adopt cleanliness in their day-to-day life. He exhorted the cadets to encourage others to adopt cleanliness in their life.
NCC officials Meena Sharma, Vijaypal Singh along with a large number of cadets were present on the occasion.
