Shakespeare Festival held at The Aryan School

DEHRADUN: Harshit Saraff from class X and Britney Chenasa Ch. Mark and Aishwarya Pande from classes XII were adjudged the best speakers at the Shakespeare Festival and Inter-House Declamation Competition organised at The Aryan School on Friday.

Harshit Saraff from class X and Britney Chenasa Ch. Mark and Aishwarya Pande from classes XII were adjudged the best speakers at the Shakespeare Festival and Inter-House Declamation Competition organised at The Aryan School on Friday. Nadira Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion. Ashima Chandna, Dean of Activities and HOD English, of the school, gave a brief presentation on the life and works of Shakespeare.

All four houses delivered speeches on ‘The Merchant of Venice’ and ‘Much Ado about nothing’. Excerpts chosen for class X were ‘the character sketch of Portia’, the essence of the Mercy speech, ‘Who is the true protagonist in the Merchant of Venice’ and ‘The role of Launcelot Gobbo’. School Principal B Dasgupta congratulated participants for their commendable performance.
