Mumbai: 32-year-old shoots himself by mistake in Wadala

The Wadala TT police have now registered a case of accidental death. Reportedly, the firearm Singh possessed had been illegally procured.

A 32-year-old man died Saturday after he accidentally shot himself while showing off his firearm to a friend in Wadala, Mumbai.

The police said that the freak accident took place in the afternoon. The deceased, identified as Mangal Singh, a local resident, fired at his own chest by mistake.

Singh was rushed to the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General hospital in Sion. The doctors at the hospital later said that he died despite efforts to resuscitate him.
