Uddhav Thackeray taunts PM Modi: 'No need to tell us Kashmir is ours'

Mumbai, Aug 13 (PTI): NDA ally Shiv Sena’s president Uddhav Thackeray today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s language about Pakistan had changed. Taking a swipe at Modi over his assertion at the all- party meeting yesterday that Kashmir belongs to India, the Sena chief said everybody already knew that. “He (Modi) says Pakistan hai ki maanta nahi (Pakistan does not listen),” Uddhav said. “There is a film called ‘Dil hai ki manta nahi’. Now, make another film called ‘Padosi hai ki manta nahi’ (This neighbour doesn’t listen),” Uddhav said, apparently using the words spoken Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Parliament after his Pakistan visit. Uddhav was speaking at suburban Borivli tonight at the anniversary event of Marathi magazine ‘Marmik’, founded by his father, late Bal Thackeray. “After the all-party meeting, our PM scolds Pakistan, saying Kashmir is ours. Everyone knows Kashmir is ours. We don’t need to be told this by the PM,” he said. Sena will protect the interests of Hindus and Marathi people, he said.
