District Development Commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar today flagged off 33 Haj pilgrims of the dsitrict to Srinagar for onward pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Mecca and Medina.Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Mr. Zahid Naseem Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Mr. Mohammad Hanief Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda Mr. Ranjeet Singh, Tehsildar Doda besides other District officers were present on the ocassion. A total of 33 Hajis from the District including 09 from Tehsil Doda, 06 from Bhaderwah, 06 from Thathri and 12 from Gandoh left for holy journey in two JKSRTC Buses from Dak Bunglow Doda.Speaking on the occasion, the DC congratulated the pilgrims for getting the opportunity to perform holy Hajj. He also wished them safe and secure pilgrimage. He appealed the Hajj pilgrims to pray for the development and prosperity of the district.SSP Doda Mr. Zahid Naseem Manhas also spoke on the occasion and prayed for their safe and comfortable pilgrimage.
