Sridevi remains one of the prettiest leading ladies in Indian films. Starting out at a tender age of 13, the actor saw fame very early in life and was one of the few female actors to have a stardom which rivalled that of many of her male colleagues. She was a favourite with Yash Chopra, who cast her repeatedly in his films and created the stereotype of a YashRaj heroine in a chiffon saaree on the Alps.
