Seminar by Hyderabad Collective

Hyderabad Collective, a civil society group, is organising a day-long seminar on the impact of 25 years of neo-liberal policies on various aspects of Indian polity, economy and culture, here on August 14.

Titled ‘the impact of last 25 years on our material lives, minds and moral universe’, the seminar will have eminent intellectuals as speakers, and will be conducted at the Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Baghlingampally, a press release stated.

The sessions will cover impact of neoliberalism on economy, food security, art and culture, newer forms of social exclusion, and the media. The speakers include renowned economist Jayati Ghosh, principal advisor to the Commissioners of the Supreme Court Biraj Patnaik, expert on art and culture Sadanand Menon, recent Magsaysay award winner Bezawada Wilson, and another Magsaysay awardee and journalist P. Sainath.
