LAHAN: An absconding abduction convict was nabbed after two years of conviction, in Badaharamal-7 of Siraha district on Friday.

The arrestee has been identified as Ajab Lal Yadav aka Badri (44) of the same area, informed SP Shyam Gyawali of the Siraha District Police Office.

Acting on a tip-off, police had arrested Yadav in a place nearby his house, Gyawali added.

Police said Yadav was found guilty of kidnapping and slapped with a fine of Rs one million and a 12-year jail term on August 27, 2014. He was on the run ever since.
