Rajit, Radha emerge winners in cross-country race

MUSSOORIE: Rajit from St Lawrence High School and Radha from Mussoorie Girls Inter College emerged winners in the Run for Nation cross country senior division race organised under the aegis of the Lions Club of Mussoorie in association with the Mussoorie Sports and Cultural Committee here today.

Mussoorie, August 12

Rajit from St Lawrence High School and Radha from Mussoorie Girls Inter College emerged winners in the Run for Nation cross country senior division race organised under the aegis of the Lions Club of Mussoorie in association with the Mussoorie Sports and Cultural Committee here today. In the same age group, Kamal Shah from Ghananand Inter College stood first, Tashi from Tibetan Homes Foundation second while Sagar from Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School came third. In the senior girls U-19 category, Sangeeta from Mussoorie Girls Inter College stood second and Poonam from Sanatan Dharm Inter College came third.

In the mini boys’ section, Vikas Rawat and Padam Rawat from St Lawrence High School stood first and second, respectively, while Akhlesh Panwar from St Claire School came third. In the girls’ section, Simran and Alpna stood first and second, respectively, while Aketa Panwar from Sanatan Dharm Inter College came third. In the sub-junior under 14 boys’ section, Vishal Rawat and Anurag from St Lawrence High School stood first and second, respectively, while Manoj Ramola from RN Bhargav Inter College stood third. In the sub-junior girls’ section, Shrishti Rawat and Priyanka Panwar from St Lawrence High School stood first and second, respectively, while Rakhi Panwar from Mussoorie Girls Inter College came third.

In the junior under 17 boys’ section, Himanshu Sajwan Vimal and Rajat Rangarh from Kendriya Vidyalaya stood first and second, respectively. In the girls’ section, Nishita Shah from St Lawrence High School, Asha Rana from Sanatan Dharm Girls Inter College stood first and second, respectively, while Asha Panwar from Mussoorie Girls Inter College came third. Chief guest Municipal Council president Manmohan Singh Mall gave away citations and awards to the winners. Former Municipal Council president OP Uniyal and others were present on the occasion.
