Granthi gets 7 years in jail for sodomy

Ferozepur: A court here on Friday sentenced a gurdwara granthi to seven years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 7,000 on him for sodomising a seven-year-old boy.
According to the prosecution, Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Harike Pattan, had sodomized the boy on the premises of the gurdwara on August 3, 2015. The accused had threatened the child of dire consequences if he disclosed the matter to anybody.tnn
