Hyderabad: East Zone task force sleuths nabbed a red sanders smuggler and seized around 240 kilos of material from him. A Yellesh, 28, a native of Mehbubnagar, purchased them from another agent and was trying to sell it in Hyderabad.
According to police Yellesh is into flower decoration business and he was not making too much money. In order to make easy money, he got in touch with one of his friends Rajesh who is into smuggling red sanders. Rajesh cuts the wood illegally from forest areas and sells it to interested persons.
On Thursday night, he engaged an auto trolley at Shadnagar and brought the pieces to a graveyard in Saidabad. He unloaded them and was trying to hide them in the bushes when cops nabbed him.
He was arrested and 26 wood pieces were recovered from him. Rajesh is absconding.
