York Regional Police are looking for a suspect who held up an Aurora convenience store at gunpoint.

According to investigators, a man walked into a Wellington Street East store on Thursday, at around 8:10 p.m. The man allegedly pulled out a small long gun and demanded cash.

A quantity of money was handed over and the suspect left the scene on a bicycle.

Two witnesses followed the suspect, but were confronted by the man. Police say he pointed the gun at them and they fled the area.

The suspect is described as a 25 to 30-year-old man with a dark complexion, 5’10”, 190 pounds, with a medium build and shoulder-length dark curly hair. He was last seen wearing a white bandanna, gloves, long jean shorts and a white t-shirt.
