2 Killed, 6 Injured After Suspected ULFA Militants Open Fire in Assam

According to Police, the militants opened fire indiscriminately in an attempt to kill as many people as possible. Tinsukia district has remained one of the soft targets for ULFA(I) militants and comes under attack on a regular basis.

Tinsukia (Assam): 2 people were killed and 6 others wounded as the suspected ULFA(I) militants opened fire at Hindi speaking people in Tinsukia district in assam. The incident is reported to have taken place in Pholbari area.

According to Police, the militants opened fire indiscriminately in an attempt to kill as many people as possible. Tinsukia district has remained one of the soft targets for ULFA(I) militants and comes under attack on a regular basis.

An alert on the possibility of an attack was issued earlier ahead of the independence day.
