A breakdown of the 2016 Indianapolis Colts draft class and its progress after two weeks of training camp: Ryan Kelly, C, first round: He’s been the starting center ever since the moment the Colts selected him with the No. 18 pick back in April. Only downside for Kelly so far has been that he missed about a week of practice with a left shoulder strain. T.J. Green, S, second round: The Clemson product missed time early in camp with a calf injury, but he’s bounced back to make an impact. Green continues to work with the first unit while Clayton Geathers remains out with his foot injury. Le’Raven Clark, OT, third round: He may have started at right tackle if the Colts’ preseason opener against Green Bay had not been cancelled. “Le’Raven is going to be an outstanding player,” coach Chuck Pagano said. Hassan Ridgeway, DT, fourth round: Injuries (Kendall Langford/Henry Anderson) and suspensions (Art Jones) along the defensive line have Ridgeway in the position of getting more snaps. He’s currently backing starter Zach Kerr at defensive tackle. Antonio Morrison, LB, fourth round: Defensive coordinator Ted Monachino described Morrison as being tough, rugged and a “pleasant surprise” so far in camp. Morrison has been impressive enough that the Colts released inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera earlier this week. Joe Haeg, OL, fifth round: The North Dakota State product is learning what it’s like to have position flexibility. He played tackle in college, but the Colts are having him take snaps at guard and tackle. "Joe is one of the guys who’s been able to fill in at multiple spots, which is unusual for a rookie mentally to be able to handle all that," Pagano said. "He’s done a fine job." Trevor Bates, LB, seventh round: The University of Maine product has been a favorite of some of the veteran linebackers on the team. He’s currently Erik Walden’s backup at strongside linebacker. "Trevor is physical, he’s explosive, he’s smart, he’s mature well beyond his years and he fits in the room," Monachino said. "For a guy that was drafted in the position that he was drafted out of the University of Maine, absolutely I’m impressed with him." Austin Blythe, C, seventh round: The Colts’ final draft pick got some extensive work backing up Jonotthan Harrison at center while Kelly was out with his shoulder injury. Blythe’s best chance at getting any playing time will likely be at guard because the Colts are set at center.
