DHL B737-400 cargo plane runs off runway into Italian road
A DHL B737-400 freighter, operated by ASL Airlines Hungary, lost control last week in a pre-dawn landing at Bergamo Airport in northern Italy, 40 kilometres north of Milan.
Aviation group ASL told Lloyd's Loading List that bad weather was reported at the airport on the edge of the Alps at the time of the accident, in which the aircraft overran the runway and stopped on a road.
ASL said nobody on the ground was involved and that the two pilots, who were the only people on board the aircraft, both received non-life-threatening injuries.
