A book on Yaari Dosti aur Zindagi of the celebs

The famous singer-composer duo Vishal-Shekhar recently launched an interesting coffee table book Yaari Dosti aur Zindagi in Mumbai, which sneaks into the lives of popular celebrities from different walks of life and reveal interesting anecdotes about their life-long bonds of friendship. Published by The Times Group and McDowell’s No 1 Soda, the book is a collage of emotions and experiences celebrating the spirit of friendship.
While unveiling the book, duo Vishal-Shekhar spoke about their friendship and how it has evolved over the years. Talking about the book they said, “We went through this book. It has got this whole bunch of lovely stories-- yaari, dosti, zindagi. In fact that brought us to talking about our friendship and how wonderful and how long it has been.”
In the book, actor Randeep Hooda shares that his friendship with industry veteran Naseeruddin Shah is about cocktails and conversations, while actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Kapoor talk about covering for each other in difficult times and having a good laugh about it later. Actress Sonakshi Sinha too opens up about her equation with her mother. In another incident, Polo player Samir Suhag talks about his experience of being best buddies on opposing teams in a match.
At the launch, Vishal Dadlani shared how this amazing friendship with Shekhar started, “We loved each others’ compositions and then one day we decided that we will do a title track together. Aur uske baad jo ek safar shuru hua hain matlab fas gayein hain ek dusre ke sath (since then there has been no looking back in our friendship).”
Sharing about what he likes the most about his work partner Shekhar, Vishal further added, “My favourite thing about Shekhar is that he has tolerated me despite all the stuff that he probably hates about me and is not going to tell you about.”
