DDF wins ‘Best Global Services’ Burj Award ’

Top The Burj CEO AwardDubai Duty Free (DDF) has won the ‘Best Global Services’ award at the inaugural The Burj CEO Awards held at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.

 

The awards are hosted by CEO Clubs Network Worldwide under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, with the purpose aimed at awarding top global CEOs and organisations in different categories and industries to recognise outstanding success.

 

Commenting, Colm McLoughlin, DDF’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO said: “We are delighted to be recognised in the inaugural The Burj CEO Award and winning the Best Global Services award is a strong testimony to unwavering dedication of Dubai Duty Free to provide a world class retail experience to our customers.

Ramesh Cidambi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Duty Free, received The BURJ CEO Award – Best Global Services presented by Sir Steven Saxton, Chairman & CEO of Hollywood Studios Holdings and Mohammed Al Hakim, Advisor of HH Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum.

 

“This award also reflects our efforts over the past 33 years, as we continue to excel and grow as one of the largest airport retailers in the world.”

 

The world’s biggest duty free airport retailer was also joined at the event by Dubai dignitaries, USA and UAE Government Officials, US Senators and Congressmen, Diplomats, VIPs from all over the world, local and International business executives and Elite CEO Clubs members.

 

AWARDS FOR ‘OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS…’

DDF added that ‘a distinguished judging panel’ composed of respected executives, entrepreneurs, innovators and business educators judged the winners based on achievements and outstanding contributions to the business network.

 

Meanwhile, the organisers of the awards say they now plan to host the annual top business community award event in different countries, with a vision of bringing it back to Dubai in 2020 during Dubai EXPO 2020 celebration.

 

Ramesh Cidambi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Duty Free attended the event to receive the award on behalf of Dubai Duty Free. Other winners were DP World; Emirates Airline; Alibaba; HP Enterprises; Facebook; National Bank of Abu Dhabi; RAK Free Zone; Sharjah Investment Authority (Shurooq); Hollywood Studios; RAK FZ, AUS Enterprise; ARY Digital; Mumbai Stock Exchange; Saudi German Hospital; Covenant Bank for Women Tanzania Ltd; Dubai Cares.
