The UN Security Council will discuss the aggravation on the Russian-Ukrainian border at the request of Kiev, RIA Novosti reported quoting Reuters.

Earlier, Ukraine's mission to the UN tweeted that Kiev initiates consultations in the UN Security Council after the events in the Crimea on August 11.

On the eve Russia’s federal security service announced prevention of terrorist attacks on the peninsula prepared by Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. Additional security measures are introduced in Crimea, access control enhanced on the border with Ukraine. Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine passed from negotiations to terror and that in such situation it is senseless to meet in Norman format".

Kiev authorities increased readiness of troops on the border with Crimea and Donbas. In addition, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed to arrange a telephone conversation with the President of Russia, as well as with the leaders of Germany and France.
