NBCC sign MoU with GSL for construction of MCMV office building

Panaji, Aug 12 (UNI) NBCC, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL),
another miniratna CPSE, for construction of Office Building of Mine Counter Measure Vessels (MCMV), Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa, at an approximate value of Rs 100 crore.
According to a press release here today, the MoU has been signed by Dr Anoop K Mittal, CMD, NBCC and Rear Admiral (Retd) Shekhar Mittal, CMD, on behalf of GSL recently.
In addition, NBCC would also develop master plan for entire area comprising the existing parking complex, garden area, existing HR and Administration block including medical dispensary, time offices and punching booths, amenity building, administrative building, transport section, power house west and fire station and such other areas within vicinity.
MCMV Project envisages construction of 12 MCMVs for Indian Navy at a budgetary cost of Rs 32,000 cr as part of ‘Make in India’ and import substitute program of Ministry of Defence. The state of the art war vessels will be built indigenously first time in the country by GSL at Goa, release added.
