Traffic diversions on NH No. 5

Traffic diversions will be in place on the Visakhapatnam-Chennai National Highway No. 5 from the midnight of Thursday in view of the Krishna Pushkarams.

Heavy vehicles with 10 or fewer tyres would be allowed only between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. between August 12 and August 23. No vehicles would be allowed between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. from August 11.

Heavy vehicles (10 or fewer tyres) heading towards Visakhapatnam would be diverted through Budampadu, Narakoduru, Tenali, Vemuru, Kolluru, Vellaturu, Penumudi Varadhi and enter Krishna district and join the highway at Hanuman Junction.

Vehicles headed towards Chennai would be diverted at Hanuman Junction, pass through Penumudi Varadhi, Vellaturu, Bhattirprolu, Bapatla, Chirala, Throvagunta and Ongole before they reach the National Highway.

Vehicles towards Hyderabad would be diverted at the Medarametla-Addanki Junction, passing through Piduguralla and Pondugula.
