Train services resume at Badlapur station
Train services resumed on the Karjat-Kalyan corridor.
KALYAN: After five hours rail roko protest at Badlapur railway station, commutters called off protest and local train services resumed on the route.
Suburban trains were not running on the Karjat-Kalyan corridor after commuters staged a rail roko at Badlapur station to protest against the delay in services on Central Railway (CR) on Friday morning at 5.55 am.

Sources said that the trains were running late because of technical problem in signal near Bhivpuri. As a result, commuters blocked the movement of trains since 5.55 am.
Following the protest, Central Railway had rushed Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) to clear the tracks of protesters. However commutters blamed that this is a daily practice of delay in services at Central Railway and demanded in written that from now on services will not get delayed.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has directed GM, DRM and officers to help passengers sort out their problems. He also requested to stop agitating as all steps are taken.
With the assistance of senior railway officials the agitation was finally stopped at 11.52am and train services started. However due to protest of over five hours office goers had to suffer a lot. Some took auto rickshaws which cost more than Rs 200 to Kalyan and from there they took train to Mumbai for their offices.
