Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti met with Peruvian Ambassador to Qatar HE Julio Florian, who is completing his tenure in Doha, on Thursday.
Talks during the meeting dealt with cultural cooperation between Qatar and Peru as well as cultural events that have been hosted by Katara.
Sulaiti wished the Peruvian envoy success in his future assignments, pointing out that Katara constantly strives to build bridges of communication among peoples and is open to different cultures and civilisations.
He said,"Within the last five years, Katara has hosted significant cultural events and exhibition that shed light on the culture and civilisation of Latin American countries in general and Peru in particular. Last month, Katara and the embassy of Peru organised a photo exhibition of Qhapag Nan, which attracted a significant turnout of visitors."
The Peruvian ambassador thanked Katara for its relentless efforts to provide people glimpse on the civilisations and cultures of others, specifically the Peruvian culture.
