Didn't ask HDK to retain us in JD(S): Rebel MLAs
MANDYA: JD(S) rebel MLAs chided party chief HD Kumaraswamy that they did not petition him to retain them in his party and they would never do it in future either.
Speaking to journalists in Mandya on Thursday, one the of the suspended MLAs, Zameer Ahmed Khan, retorted on Kumaraswamy's recent comment that he would never need the help of those suspended eight MLAs to become chief minister of the state.

"We have not appealed him (Kumaraswamy) to retain us in JD(S) party. Literally, we are still in JD(S) and continuing as MLAs of that party. It is up to father and son (HD Devegowda and HD Kumaraswamy) to take a call with regard to our continuation in their party" Zameer said.
Zameer clarified that the rebel MLAs don't have any intention to desert JD(S) party and they would like to work under the leadership of Kumaraswamy.
"Till today, we are working under the leadership of Kumaraswamy. Though we were put under suspension, still we are with JD(S) party only" he said.
Other suspended MLAs, N Cheluvarayaswamy, Balakrishna, and Rameshbabu, were present on the occasion.
It may be recalled that recently in Mandya, Kumarswamy likened eight suspended rebel MLAs of his party to 'Asta Dikpalakaru (Guardians of eight directions)' and he doesn't have intention of becoming chief minister of Karnataka with their help.
