HYDERABAD: Several cultural shows will be organised near the bathing ghats during Krishna Pushkarams that starts on Friday, minister for tourism and culture A Chandulal said.
The minister, after releasing the cultural events' calendar for Pushkarams, said that a total of 12,000 artistes will take part in the shows. Special stages have been set up near the ghats at Beechpally, Rangapur, Somasila, Krishna bridge junction, Pasupula, Alampur, Waadapalli, Mattampalli and Nagarjunasagar in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda along river Krishna, he said.
The cultural events that will begin at 6 am will include religious discourses, Oggu Kathas, Chindu Yakshagana, bhajans, classical music and plays based on mythological characters, Chandulal added.

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, accompanied by his wife Shobha Rao, reached Alampur in Mahbubnagar on Thursday.
He will take a holy dip in the Krishna at 6 am signalling the start of Pushkarams in Telangana.
