Rain brings down temp, Met predicts scattered rain

The city received rainfall of 18.6 mm in the last 24 hours as forecast.It brought the day temperature below normal and forced people to switched off coolers and air-conditioners at night.

Moderate rainfall in parts of north India including the national capital brought some relief from prevailing sultry weather conditions, even as MeT department predicted more showers in most areas in the next 48 hours.
KANPUR: The city received rainfall of 18.6 mm in the last 24 hours as forecast. It brought the day temperature below normal and forced people to switched off coolers and air-conditioners at night.
The rain started on Wednesday night and continued till Thursday morning.
Although the day remained dry with weak sunshine but rainfall again started in the evening and continued till night.

The day temperature stood at 31.7 degrees, which was below normal and one degree less than the previous day temperature.
The Met department of CSA has predicted scattered rainfall. Till date, 44.7 mm of rainfall had taken place in the city in August, which is good as far as average rainfall of the month is concerned.
