The Chandigarh Housing Board has decided that the transfer cases of properties in Sector 49 and 63 shall be processed under the consensual, GPA transfer policies of the board.
The decision has been taken owing to a delay in conveyance deed of Sector 63 and Sector 49 projects.
The administration vide order issued on January 22 had directed that all the properties of CHB should be transferred through execution of a registered transfer deed. The execution of the conveyance deed with respect to both the land is also under process.
CHB chairman Maninder Singh said the allottees of Sector 49 and Sector 63 schemes are ready and willing to transfer their properties and requesting the housing board to process the transfer cases of their properties.
However, in the absence of conveyance deed in favour of the CHB and further lease deed or conveyance deed in favour of the allottee, the board is unable to process the transfer cases of these schemes.
The delay in executing of conveyance deed of Sector 63 and Sector 49 projects has stopped the transfer process of the properties which consequently causes financial loss of transfer fee and processing charges to CHB and revenue loss (Stamp Duty) to the Chandigarh Administration.
