Quepem police have directed
Quepem mamlatdar to initiate proceedings against their colleague in a case of blocking of a public road at Deulmoll, Quepem.
Quepem police issued the directive under Section 133 of CrPC after a resident of Deulmol, Quepem, Custodio Coutinho, filed a complaint against havaldar
Digambar Padwal for allegedly blocking a public road by dumping rubble, thereby causing inconvenience to vehicles and pedestrians.

Praveen Gawas informed that they have sent the panchanama to the mamlatdar.
Complainant Coutinho earlier wrote to Quepem mamlatdar
Pratap Gaonkar demanding that stern action be initiated against the accused. Gaonkar instructed the circle inspector and asked for an inspection report.
“The accused, who blocked the road, earlier gave an undertaking to the Quepem police that he will clear the blockage on August 2, but has failed till date to do so,” Coutinho said.
He has also filed complaints before the deputy collector and Quepem municipal council regarding the matter.
The mamlatdar wrote to Quepem police, after receiving a report, asking them to file a FIR against the accused.
DySP Sammy Tavares told TOI said that now it is the executive magistrate’s duty to start proceedings.
