Noida: A 35-year-old man was shot dead by three criminals on Thursday morning in Jewar, Greater Noida. The victim, Manoj Kumar, was involved in property business. Police said he was allegedly shot dead by his business partner, Neeraj, over property dispute.
The murder took place around 6.30am when Kumar was on a morning walk on Baina road in Jewar.
Dilip Singh, circle officer, Jewar, said Kumar worked as a property dealer in the Jewar Kasba. "Three men arrived in a Maruti Swift car, stopped Kumar in the middle of his walk and opened fire at point-blank range. He received bullet injuries to his stomach and collapsed. When Kumar was taken to a private hospital, doctors declared him brought dead," Singh said. The criminals fled the spot after the crime.
Singh said Kumar and Neeraj were business partners who had developed some differences over their business recently. "They had a heated argument on Wednesday night in their office but later returned to their respective homes at night," he said.
Police said Neeraj, his brother Pinku and his third accomplice, Rinkle, came in a car in the morning and opened fire at the victim. "We have registered a case of murder against the three accused persons. Police teams are conducting raids to arrest them," Singh said.
