Workshop on skill development begins
Patna: The two-day workshop on skill development began at Anugrah Narayan College here on Thursday.
Of the 50 applicants, 15 have been selected to participate in the workshop being held at Shatabdi Bhavan of the college’s department of business administration.
Shampa Ghosh, a certified trainer with the department of personnel and training, Government of India and Nutan Choudhury of Zenith Life and Soft Skill will impart training to the students.

“This is the first time that the department of personnel is holding a skill development workshop here. I hope that the workshop will benefit the students of the college,” said Nupur Bose, one of the professors of the college.
“There is no dearth of talent in Bihar. Unfortunately, some youths from the state fail to clear the final stages of job selection process. Students from Bihar score very high marks in written tests, but fail to deliver in group discussion and interview. Such workshops on professional skills would ignite the young minds,” she added.
Ghosh said the objective of the workshop was to sensitize the students on the importance of soft skills in the modern day working environment. “After passing out from the college, the students have to go for job interviews. A well-made CV plays an important role in the shortlisting of the candidate for interview. The trainers will teach them how to make CV and prepare for group discussion,” she added.
