Aurangabad DM to have direct communication with students

Aurangabad DM to have direct communication with students
Auranagbad: In a bid to bring students close to the administration, district magistrate (DM) Kawal Tanuj has decided to hold discussions with students from Plus Two to post-graduate level on various social issues.
The reason behind taking this initiative is to develop a direct communication with students and also provide them personal guidance in selecting their career.
The DM will also give certificates to students who take active part in such discussions.
The programme will be inaugurated on August 20 in which academicians will also share their experience with students and give them tips on various competitive examinations organised at the national and state-level. Academicians will also apprise the role and accountability of youth in nation building. Sources in the DM office said different teams of the district administration will contact all colleges and schools to invite students for the discussion.
Talking on the proposed programme, the DM said, “Usually students preparing for competitive examinations are desirous of communicating with IAS and IPS officers. Due to very busy schedule IAS and IPS officers hardly entertain them. I have taken an initiative to invite students and hold discussions with them,” said the DM adding there would be 50 students in each group.
“Out of the 50 we would select the best three and felicitate them,” he said.
Talking about the future plan, he said later these students would be included in the DM’s Youth Brigade and their services will be taken in generating awareness in society against social evils like caste and untouchability.
