TWO of college basketball’s biggest stars—Jio Jalalon and Rey Nambatac—spearhead their respective squads in the NCAA All-Star Game that will serve as highlight of the one-day showcase which will also feature skills challenges, including the slam dunk competition and the three point shootout at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Jalalon, the spitfire guard from Arellano, will banner the East team that has San Beda, Perpetual Help, San Sebastian, and Jose Rizal U players joining forces under coach Jamike Jarin.

Nambatac, the sweet-shooting guard from Letran, is the player to watch for the West team which also includes standouts from Mapua, Lyceum, Emilio Aguinaldo College and St. Benilde. Jeff Napa of Letran will handle the West All-Stars.

With San Beda rising stars Davon Potts and Donald Tankoua as well as Bright Akhuetie of Perpetual Help, the East are slight favorites in the 4 p.m. clash won by the West last year, 89-88.
