Amniotic sacs usually break during childbirth due to stress or are taken apart by a doctor during a caesarean procedure. It is when this sac breaks, the fluid inside is released which amounts to a mother's "water-breaking".

The baby was born with the amniotic membrane completely intact and could be seen moving inside. The blue umbilical cord is clearly visible, helping the newborn to breathe in the oxygen.

The sac was eventually broken by the doctor using a pair of surgical scissors, thus bringing the child into the world.
