Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas has announced that a generic medical store will be opened soon in Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia Government General Hospital (SVRRGGH) compound.
Mr. Srinivas spoke to the media on arrival at the hospital on Wednesday along with TTD trust board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy and DM&HO Vijaya Gowri to inaugurate additional blocks and facilities worth Rs.30 lakh. Recollecting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to turn Tirupati into a ‘medical hub’, with Ruia as the base, he said the government had sanctioned sufficient funds for the development of the hospital. “We will develop Ruia on par with corporate hospitals and provide high quality treatment to the poor patients,” he said.
Regarding arrangements for Krishna Pushkarams, the Minister said that special medical camps would be run in all ghats on all days, where medicines would be distributed free of cost and ambulances kept at the disposal of the camp heads. SVRRGGH Superintendent B.S. Naik, Resident Medical Officers R.R. Reddy and Srihari took part.
