Cop booked for wife's murder in Vadinar

A 30-year-old policeman in Vadinar town near Khambhaliya was booked for allegedly murdering his wife, who was found hanging from the ceiling fan at their house on Tuesday morning.

RAJKOT: A 30-year-old policeman in Vadinar town near Khambhaliya was booked for allegedly murdering his wife, who was found hanging from the ceiling fan at their house on Tuesday morning.
The case of murder was lodged against Kaba Chavda, who is posted as head constable in Vadinar police station, after family members of his wife Jituben alleged that he had killed her.
Initially, police had registered a case of accidental death.
Police sources said, the pos-tmortem report also revealed that Jituben was strangulated. Her father Khimanand Goriya, a who lives in Devaliya village in Kalyanpur taluka, alleged that Chavda had extramarital affairs. Therefore, he wanted to eliminate Jituben. Goriya alleged that Chavda killed his wife and then hanged her from the fan. Chavda is now on the run and police have launched manhunt to nab him. The couple was married for seven years.
