    The grandeur of the seasonal falls
    From Bangalore: Shivanasamudra Falls Visit the Shivanasamudra Falls during monsoons and the mighty cascade can mesmerise you with its beauty. Formed by the River Cauvery, which naturally splits into two before plunging 320feet into a canyon after meandering through the dense forests of Karnataka, the Shivanasamudra Falls are a nice location for a monsoon-time picnic. Check with the local operator here and enjoy a boat ride, which can take you close to the falls. You can also witness the hydroelectric power station, located at the waterfall and is functional. It is said that the power generated here was initially used in Kolar Gold Fields.
