MUMBAI: A Rs 20-crore
facelift has been proposed for the
recreation area in the Borivli section of
Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
Vikas Gupta, chief conservator, said the money is to be utilised for refurbishing the nature information centre, the tiger information centre and the area frequented by visitors. The work is likely to begin after the monsoon.
Permission to develop a
parking place is also soon expected from the Centre, which means battery-operated vehicles may become a reality by the year-end.
