Four thieves arrested

AMRITSAR: The Kotwali police here have arrested four persons, including two women, on the charges of stealing belongings of devotees who come to the Golden Temple to pay their obeisance.

The Kotwali police here have arrested four persons, including two women, on the charges of stealing belongings of devotees who come to the Golden Temple to pay their obeisance.

The police recovered two ladies’ purses, two Aadhaar cards and 23 mobile phones from their possession besides cash. Those arrested were identified as Rajbir Kaur and Balkar Singh of Shebajpur village in Tarn Taran, Paramjit Kaur, the wife of Harpal Singh of Anngarh, and Rahul Kumar, son of Mahabir Singh of Sunder Nagar, Majitha Road, here.

The police have registered a case under Sections 379 and 411, IPC, against the culprits.
