Vipul loses weight to get six packs

While Vipul gets his six packs, Neha goes from fit to fat
Vipul loses weight to get six packs

Like Bollywood stars even TV actors have to undergo strict fitness regimes for their roles. Vipul Roy, who was playing a double role in 'Sahib, Biwi Aur Boss' had to gain 10 kilos for the older character’s part. Says Vipul, “It wasn’t difficult, given my love for sweets. The real test, however, came when I was offered 'Dr Madhumati On Duty' for which the makers wanted me to lose weight.” Vipul underwent a strict exercise and diet regime for four months.
He says, “I was only eating boiled and grilled food. I am still keeping away from chapatti and rice. For someone who is always looking for dessert counters in buffet spreads, this was really tough.”

Neha Lakshmi Iyer, who plays Soumya in 'Ishqbaaz', was surprised when she was asked to gain weight by the makers of her show. Neha was always a chubby girl since the time she made her debut on TV as a child artiste in Banegi Apni Baat. “Though I have never been awed by skinny girls around me, I did realise the need to shed a few kilos some months ago. But after auditioning for Soumya’s role, I was asked to put on weight! So, there I was eating junk food again,” she laughs. Ask Neha if she feels insecure seeing actresses around her flaunt their figures and she says, “Just like age is a number, weight is also a number and you have to be comfortable with your body weight and size.”
