B-town’s leading ladies like to be in the driver’s seat. The sight of Hindi film heroines driving around used to be a rare sight, but contemporary actresses have changed that. Now these sexy ladies are seen motoring everything from two wheelers, cars, luxury sedans, SUVs, tractors and even rickshaws. Here’s a hot list of the most prolific women drivers in bollywood.
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif is possibly the meanest and most awesome woman driver in B-town. She’s revved a sports car in Raajneeti, she’s aced the Royal Enfield and the vintage car in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and she’s even rocked in an open top rickshaw in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Kat’s surely got the pedal to the metal.
Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan took to the wheel in Ghanchakkar, where she played an over-the-top Delhi wife. In this dark comedy, Vidya was seen driving an SUV. She also recently took to driving in Te3n, where she played a cop. Vidya was spotted driving a police gypsy on the streets of Kolkata.
Deepika Padukone
Like Katrina, Deepika Padukone too is no stranger to the steering wheel. Her most memorable driving effort was in Piku last year. She also zipped around the exotic locales of Greece last year with Ranbir Kapoor as her co-passenger in Tamasha.
Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma has made a career in driving her heroes on-screen and she makes the feminism charged activity look good and very authentic. Anushka was seen atop a tractor in Sultan recently. Her driving in NH10 was fantastic and high on action. She even mowed the bad guys with her SUV in the end. Did we mention she gave rides to both Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in PK and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha has the most versatile driver’s resume in B-town. She’s driven a sports car for her music video Aaj mood ishqaholic. She even saddled a horse for Tevar, she mastered the vintage car drive in Lootera, although her character did manage to crash Ranveer Singh’s bike in the film. And Sonakshi even managed a stoppie on a sports bike in Son Of Sardaar a few years ago.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor can take home the title for the cutest biker chick in Bollywood. Her skills on the motorcycle in Ek Villain were top notch. She even had the tough Sidharth Malhotra ride pillion.
Sonam Kapoor – Dolly Ki Doli
When Sonam Kapoor is not acing red carpet looks, she’s racing around b-town in hunky vehicles. Unlike her demure image, Sonam was spotted driving a Royal Enfield and an open top jeep in Dolly Ki Doli.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor has always had a liking for being in the driver’s seat. She’s been spotted riding two wheelers, four wheelers and even three wheelers for her films. Her latest vehicle escapade was on a bike with Diljit Dosanjh in Udta Punjab. Before that Kareena had scooted around in an autorickshaw for Singham Returns. She even aced the scooter-ette in 3 Idiots.
Alia Bhatt – Shaandaar, Going Home
Alia Bhatt’s latest appearance behind the wheel was in last year’s comedy Shaandaar. Her introduction shot featured Alia driving an exotic vintage roadster. Before that Alia had taken to the wheel for a short film called Going Home.
