Abu Dhabi - Kapil Sharma and Shaan among top performers included for special ADSS programmes

Indian community in national capital can celebrate their upcoming Independence Day in Bollywood way, this weekend.
Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA), has arranged a dedicated 'Indian season' for the ongoing Abu Dhabi Summer Season (ADSS) to attract Indian community who are gearing up for their I-Day, which falls on August 15.
Organisers of ADSS has included special entertainment programmes by bringing popular comedian and singers to the national capital.

Popular comedian Kapil Sharma will be the main attraction and the only non-musical event included among the weekend Indian programmes.
Sharma, the star of the ongoing hit comedy series The Kapil Sharma Show being aired on a TV channel, will perform at Al Raha Beach Theatre on August 12.
The musical performance during the Indian season will be by Bollywood singer Shaan (August 11, Emirates Palace), Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani (August 12, du Forum) and Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa (August 13, du Forum).
According to Mubarak Al Shamsi, Director of Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau at TCA, last summer there was 21 per cent increase in guest arrivals into the emirate, compared with 951,979 guests in 2014, checking into Abu Dhabi's 157 hotels and hotel apartments.
"The largest increase in visitor numbers was from India, rising nearly 30 per cent, then the Americas, up by 24.4 per cent, followed by 18 per cent visitors from Europe and GCC by almost 10 per cent," Al Shamsi said.
Altogether, TCA and its partners put together around 80 programmes for ADSS 2016, designed to attract not just international visitors, but residents, both Emiratis and expats, spending the summer in the JAE.
The season which began on July 7 will run until Sept. 11.
Children's shows such as Shawn the Sheep, Arab pop stars and illusionist Jamie Raven proved highly popular so far with stay-home-this-summer residents.
"We just had a baby in May and we are staying put in the UAE until December, making the most of what is available in the country, entertainment wise," said Marcus Bruckner, a German resident in Abu Dhabi.
"Me and my wife had our first outing since the baby arrived last July to see Jamie Raven. It really was a great show and we are also planning to see Cirque Adrenaline this month. If it's anything like Cirque Le Noir, which we saw last year, than it's going to be great," he added.
Featuring flame-wielding fire spinners, contortionists, trapeze artists and daredevil motorcyclists as well as stunts such as the Wheel of Death and the Sphere of Fear, Cirque Adrenaline is indeed just as Cirque Le Noir, a new genre of show that blends traditional circus acts with high octane acrobatics of unbelievable skill.
The show will take place at Al Raha Beach Theatre on August 18-19.
