Acharya went back to the drawing board, rewrote the entire script which is an adaptation of Phillip Meadow Taylor's book, Confessions of a Thug. Aamir Khan was really excited by the script, and also with the scope of playing a tapori again after 1994's Rangeela or 1998's Ghulam.

Having undergone two intense, lengthy schedules of Nitesh Tiwari's Dangal - where Aamir plays a retired wrestler and then his younger version, we're sure the Talaash actor was looking to do something fun. This will be a historic casting, however, the production team have been asked to keep the project under wraps until the official announcement.
