Amit Shah confidant Jadeja gets crucial home deptartment

National BJP president Amit Shah's most trusted aide in Gujarat, Pradipsinh Jadeja, did not get the cabinet rank as was widely expected. But he has been made the boss of the most crucial departments including home, police housing, border security, civil defence, home guards, gram rakshak dals, prisons, prohibition, and excise. He will have independent charge of all of them.However, the law & justice department has been taken away from him.
Another close Shah aide, Shankar Chaudhary, will head health and family welfare, medical education, and environment departments (all with independent charge), and the urban development department. First-time MLA and industrialist Rohit Patel will be the minister of state of industries, finance and mines and minerals. Another first-time MLA, Dr Nirmala Wadhwani - who was inducted as a minister on BJP grandee L K Advani's recommendation - will be the minister of state of women & child welfare. tnn
