After Shikha Singh and Arjit Taneja, actor Ankit Mohan, who plays Shabbir Ahluwalia’s cousin Akash in 'Kumkum Bhagya', has quit the show. A source informs, “Ankit had informed the makers that he wants to quit the show for better prospects. After several meetings, they parted ways amicably. He is currently serving his notice period, which ends on August 15.”
When contacted, Ankit confirmed, “Yes, it is true that I have decided to move on.
My character was doing really well, so it was a tough decision for me to quit the show. I cannot reveal much about my next show at this point in time. All I can say is that there is something big lined up because of which I took this step.”
The TV show 'Kumkum Bhagya' is set to go back in time by three years. And with this, all the characters in the show will look and behave the way they did when the show was launched. Sriti Jha will be seen playing her original geeky self and Shabbir Ahluwalia, the snooty rockstar. Leena Jumani, who replaced Madhurima Tuli to play the new Tanu, will be seen as a model.
