5-yr-old Katihar girl rescued from Nepal 5 days after kidnap

Rashmi alias Sparsh, the five-year-old daughter of a prominent Katihar businessman, was rescued by Nepal police from Pathri village in Morang district in Nepal Monday, five days after she was kidnapped from her home town in Bihar.

Patna: Rashmi alias Sparsh, the five-year-old daughter of a prominent Katihar businessman, was rescued by Nepal police from Pathri village in Morang district in Nepal Monday, five days after she was kidnapped from her home town in Bihar.
Daughter of Bhanu Agarawal, the child was kidnapped from her school bus in Kursela town of Katihar district when she was returning home from school on August 3.

Morang SP Sandeep Bhandari said the girl was handed over to her parents.
Katihar SP Siddharth Mohan Jain along with Katihar SDPO Lal Babu Prasad and Korha circle inspector Sunil Kumar had been camping on Indo-Nepal border since August 6. A team of Bihar police’s STF (special task force) was also stationed in Jogbani. They were in touch with their counterparts in Morang district of Nepal, sources said.
“Supaul’s notorious criminal Santosh Mehta was the mastermind,” the SP said and added Mithun Paswan and Awadhesh Paswan had lifted the girl and taken her to Nepal. “Mithun was using Indian sim cards in his three, cellphones, but he used Nepalese sim cards in the same handsets after sneaking into Nepal, which helped us track him,” SP Jain said and added police arrested Neeraj Yadav of Supaul and Mithun from Jogbani in this regard.
Sources said Mithun is a former bus driver of Rashmi’s school while Awadhesh is his friend.
