Noor will be based on Saba Imtiaz's Karachi, You're Killing Me - which traces the journey of a young journalist.
Sonakshi Sinha has some interesting films lined up for her this year. The Dabangg actor, who is awaiting the release of AR Murugadoss' Akira, was spotted shooting for her upcoming film Noor alongside co-star Kanan Gill at Worli.
The film will see a host of debuts, with stand-up comedian Kanan Gill making his big Bollywood debut opposite Sonakshi, VJ-turned-host Shibani Dandekar doing her first film and ad film maker Sunheel Sippy making his debut in mainstream Bollywood.
Noor is based on Saba Imtiaz's Karachi, You're Killing Me - which traces the journey of a young journalist and her misadventures while chasing breaking news. There's also news that Sunny Leone will also play a small cameo in the film for which she's already shot.
According to the lead star Sonakshi Sinha the film is about a girl, and not about journalism. She said that the film focuses on a single girl in a new city and how she goes through life, relationships and learns new things.
