Brother-in-law kills man

Kochi: A 52-year-old man who was found dead inside a barrel filled with water at Njarackal on Friday night was killed by his brother-in-law after a brawl, said police. The accused was upset with the victim as the latter failed to take care of his sister. The accused, Judeson K G (45), was arrested from Njarackal late on Friday night. Thomas Devasya was found dead inside a barrel kept in the courtyard of his house.The victim was an alcoholic and cops had found an empty bottle from the spot. The police first suspected that the victim had fallen into the drum by mistake under the influence of alcohol. tnn
