Six injured in Tanahun microbus-truck collision

DAMAULI: At least six persons were injured when a microbus collided with a truck head-on at Bimalnagar in Bandipur Municipality-6 of Tanahun district along the Prithvi Highway on Monday.

The injured have been identified as Ananda Paudel (27) of Karkineta VDC-6 in Parbat district; Aarzoo Kaji Maya (28), Prem Devi Thapa (40) and Saurav Thapa (6) of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City-6 in Kaski district; Janardan LamichhaneĀ  (28) of Nagarkot-8 in Bhaktapur district and Panchaman TamangĀ  (24) of Ramgaun-3 in Makawanpur district.

They were injured after the microbus (Ba 3 Kha 8278), en route to Kathmandu from Pokhara, collided head-on with the truck (Ba 2 Kha 2122), heading to Pokhara from Munglin, informed the Tanahun District Police Office.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at the Laxmi Hospital in Dumre of the district.

Meanwhile, police have detained drivers of both the vehicles.
