Popular Bollywood singer Armaan Malik of Jai Ho fame has been roped in to sing a love song — Un Kaadhal Irundha Podhum for Deekay’s upcoming film Kavalai Vendam, which has Jiiva and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles.
In a casual chat with DC, composer Leon James reveals about how he managed to get Armaan on board — “I’ve been following his music and we connected via e-mail. I sent him the track and he was impressed. Un Kaadhal..is a new-age love song. I flew to Mumbai to record the number at a famous studio. The recording session didn’t really feel like one — we had fun jamming the song,” said the KO 2 composer.
He further added that Un Kaadhal..is a pop song with Indian classical tunes included in the interludes. “This is a duet number and we will divulge details about the female singer in the coming days,” he stated.
The Yaar Indha Muyal Kutti singer posted a picture during the session on his official Twitter page. He wrote, “Sang an awesome Tamil song for the talented composer @leon_james “Un Kaadhal Irundha Podhum” frm #KavalaiVendam.” (sic)
