N'ganj man dies of cardiac arrest sensing presence of police
A man named Abdur Rashid, 50, died of a cardiac arrest while trying to flee his home at Siddhirganj of Narayanganj yesterday sensing presence of police.
Afsana Parvin, daughter of Rashid, said around 11:00pm, police were incessantly knocking on the main door of their home and hurling expletives as they were late to open it.
While trying to get down from the roof of their three-storey through a sewer pipe and flee knowing the presence of police, Rashid, who was also a diabetic patient, fell sick, she added.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died.
Sub-inspector of Siddhirganj Police Station Jasim Uddin said there was no case against Rashid in the police station.
